Inspired by movement, rhythm, and my Cape Verdean heritage, Badja is a vibrant 16"x20" abstract painting that celebrates the joy of dance. The word badja means "dance" in Cape Verdean Kriolu, and every expressive brushstroke, layered texture, and repeating mark was created to evoke the feeling of music flowing through the body.
