I created this painting with an acrylic alcohol splatter technique.  I later painted this beautiful dark skinned woman who exudes grace.  The background design is based on an ankara wax print design called mgbolodi, which signifies good fortune.

Magical realism, beauty and love of color, my work evokes pride in black culture and the spirit of femininity.  Drawing inspiration from art history and challenging the societal perceptions and stereotypes of Black femininity and beauty, I depict women of color as Mother Goddess, grand, graceful, and beautiful. My work seeks to reappropriate the Black female image and what it means to be a woman of color.

This poster has a partly glossy, partly matte finish and it'll add a touch of sophistication to any room.
